Light Over the Severn Bridge is an original oil painting inspired by the changing light and atmosphere along the River Severn.

The bridge stands as a familiar landmark on the horizon, softened by mist, reflection and distance. Rather than capturing precise detail, this painting focuses on the feeling of the moment — the calm that settles as light drifts across the water and the landscape becomes quiet and reflective.

Painted in warm, muted tones with expressive layers, this artwork explores light, mood and movement, inviting the viewer to pause and connect with a place that feels both powerful and peaceful.

This piece forms part of my Wye Valley Collection, a series of original landscapes inspired by local landmarks and interpreted through atmosphere rather than realism.
